Medical Eye Exams

Medical eye care includes treatments for acute conditions like eye infections, pain and redness as well as chronic diseases such as dry eye disease, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and many others.  People with diabetes, high blood pressure, autoimmune disease, those taking certain medications, and those with a family history of eye disease are at higher risk for vision loss and eye disease.

Even if you enjoy clear vision, an annual eye health examination can detect signs of eye or systemic disease.  Many of these conditions do not cause noticeable symptoms in early disease stages.  Early diagnosis and prompt treatment can lead to better outcomes and will help to prevent vision loss.
